Got this with my Morris, never seen anything like it, it's made out of aluminum and the only markings are "Patent Pending". 3-2-1 GO!
if it were smaller, it could be throttle linkage for a dual carb setup. But it might be for a parking brake system, the center arm rotates the shaft, the outer arms pull the park brake cables Or it's something else.
Suspension torsion bar? Or just suspension bracket/lever. Two wheels, one spring/shock. Transverse oriented.
Nothing says it has to be automotive, I just found it in the back of the car with what few parts the DPO left in it. Down here, it might even be for an airboat!
I'd guess the center part is the control, either a spring or lever, acting on the ends. This could be acting on a wheel at each end (auto) something to do with farming/plowing, a bit of some factory machinery someone took a fancy to or a scrapper grabbing a chunk of metal.
What's missing on your Morris? Everything on Morris were small and thin, so that could be part of the E-brake.
There it is. Chicken dinner for @HOTRODPRIMER and @MCjim and @squirrel In fact, I think we all need a chicken dinner. Everybody on this thread. Everybody on the whole forum. What the hell... Everybody just meet at Loyd's.
SEE? I had nothing but positive vibes about the HAMB coming through. Makes a little sense that it's for a Corvair, since the DPO used Corvair suspension to put the Chevy V6 in the car.
