Old Trucks are fun... ice storms are not.

But, I got lucky... I can only surmise the big limb was slowed down by other limbs on the way down so it just sort of rolled over and laid down on the truck, only wiping out the mirror frame, but not breaking anything.

    Hmn, that is crooked...

    Getting closer...

After the scientific application of small and large hammer blows, along with some creative vise work, it is back straight and re-mounted.

This is the limb that was on the truck in the first photo.

    Yikes!

Anyway, stay warm folks and happy trucking.

Glad you didn’t have damage to your truck but the picture of the mirror brought to mind this picture taken at Moss Point during Cruisn’ the Coast this past year.

Don’t think this mirror frame could become a donor!

Thought it looked neat with the street light hitting it at the gas station.

    Happy truckin' folks.

Here’s my ‘62 stepper hotrod (inspiration is early 60’s drag racing) my daughter and I have been piecing together. Just tossed on my “faux-mag” 5-spokes last night. Currently it’s 235 Stovebolt and a T5, but might be getting a dual-quad SBC swap this winter since the 6 is tired. Might make a build thread soon.

Needed more hotrod than the 3-on-the-tree! Had to modify the factory shifter to accept that correct Hurst but it was worth it.

Kinda reminds me of a Studebaker bed on that mint green one.

It definitely is Studebaker, but it's awfully difficult to focus on for some reason...
