whats the traditional go to for an up grade going in the same location... don't need timing,.. lights or throttle the steering is horible at best... what did they do back in the day...
I read some where that they used a f1 box????if I use a rotated mustang...what about the pitman arm??? I wanna do cheep and easy and don't mind doing a little fab work.. and don't need the model a levers or light switch
There's a guy here in California that modifies F100 steering boxes for model As to be a direct bolt in. I started doing my own, but it's still in the works. F100 box, need to modify the foot, the steering shaft length, the steering shaft threaded area for the A wheel and the pitman shaft for the A arm. The other mods are for the A stuff at the end of the box. IF I remember correctly the F100 is preferred over the F1 as the F100 puts the column in the same spot (in the column drop), the F1 is lower.
