Since a lot of parts are offshore made these days, it may be time to buy before the Tariffs happen in a few days, we all wish that all parts were made in America, but that may take a while to happen.
This guy is selling 1955-56 Ford cross members for $500 but he is in Canada. https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10171097893110321&set=p.10171097893110321&type=3 So if tariffs kick in and the extra cost of Customs they could get very pricey.
I’d imagine the tariffs will be temporary. Hopefully we do see more domestic manufacturing, a lot more.
More than likely a couple of years. You don't just go a set up new manufacturing lines in a couple of months. Depending what is involved, it can take years. And for old car parts, they are not going to set up lines for limited production items. QUOTE="Adriatic Machine, post: 15548123, member: 48021"]I’d imagine the tariffs will be temporary. Regardless, many repro parts are out of stock and may never be in stock again due to lessening demand. If you need something you best order it while you can. JMO
