HONEST OPINIONS PLEASE

Allright- This is a post with a comment that I know will piss some people off a lot. But, I was just wondering why damn near EVERY posted reply to anybody's car or work, etc. is always so damn supporting and kiss-ass. Seriously, why don't some of you guys state your true opinion on some of the things posted. I was just reading the tech sections and saw some rather crappy tech articles, and in those articles I read nothing but great comments from people. I know I sound like an asshole, and there is no nice way to state my opinion, but can't we here some HONEST replies instead of just saying how great and perfect everything posted is. I am not a negative person, nor do I favor shit talking on other's things, but an honest opinion every now and then would be nice.

I abide by "Thumper's Rule", if you ain't got nuthin' nice to say, don't say anything at all. Except sometimes that rule flies out the window if I'm PMS'ing, but that's the general idea.

I think the idea is to encourage folks. Supporting folks that are into similar stuff and learnin somethin here and there is what it's all about.

That's better. Now that's what I'm talking about- letting your true opinion be revealed. Wasn't that easy. Now just try and do that for every post you read, whether it's nice or not.

Yes, I understand the encouragement part and the learning part of the site, but I was just annoyed by the overly- positive comments on EVERY post. Understand?

 

Yeah, I just noticed that. I should have done some sort of commerative "Number of the Beast" post and sold T shirts.

I cant help but refrain from being honest all the time,it always comes off insulting.

I for one don't tell people I like their car unless I mean it, or if I like most of it but ten I tel them what I'd do different.
But it doesn't do a fucking bit of good telling your mother the hat she bought yesterday looks like shit and this board wouldn't be worth a shit if every car pic that got posted got mercilessly ripped to shreds by whoever had a cactus pear up their ass that day.

If you want to be the big bad and nit pick every car on site go ahead, there's an "Ignore member" in this thing some where....
