Event Coverage MeltDown Drags #10 July 2026

It should be worth the wait.

 

I get the feeling that it’s gonna be a rollicking good time( shenanigans that is) .

Looking forward to this! For a while this was the best event in the Midwest bar none. They announced this same thing a couple years ago then backed out, hopefully this one will happen…..

 

Hopefully this won’t be a one and done reunion event.
I’d be happy if it just happens every other year. It’s a lot of work and effort to put on a successful event such as “The Meltdown”. Organizers/Volunteers should have fun and not have this seem like work.

 

I had a great time covering the event when I went in the past, looking forward to maybe going again!

 

Been there twice! It was a blast! Planning on going again…..if I can!

Heck Yeah..... great show. The spectator gate numbers were ridiculous.. haven't seen that many people since 70s Dragway 42.

I have been to 6 of the 9 already and will be there for number 10 I know it’s a year from now but I already can’t wait

 

Have flogged the Jeepster at many a Meltdown. But will be running a new car.

 

I had seen that also. I'll be trying to get in on this one for sure. I have made the cut for the Fallout and will be at it.

 

This was great news,We are planning to attend with the Hilltown Shaker

 

I hope they can pull it off. Would love to come back and spectate if nothing else.

From the 2012 edition. Yes, it was that long ago....

 

Clothier Racing will be there in 2026. Three brothers and one nephew. "Doc" Larry, (59 Impala), "Hot Rod" Bob, (57 BelAir Sport Sedan), "Torkwrench" John, (black 55), and "Fire Fighter" Chuck, (blue / white 55). We'll also be at the 2025 Spring Nostalgia Drags at Havana ILL. The Out-A-Sight Drags in Union Grove Wis. Glory Days in Byron, and The Fallout Drags in Eau Claire Wis.
Additionally, Bob, myself, and perhaps Chuck will be racing at this year's Tri Five Nats. in Bowling Green Kentucky. However, I'll have to reinstall my front bumper to run Jr. Stock at Bowling Green.

 

Registration filled in 12 hours. People are excited for this event. I got in at #28. Truly looking forward to this event.

 

I'm in at #45 with my 55.

 

I will be there with my afx car

 

I made the cut with the Hilltown Shaker #79

 

#3 I'll be there.

 

Can’t wait. Hopefully we get dry weather

 

#84 Salty and Tork Wrench have an opportunity to line up and get even from when running the 67, have your game face on because got my positive traction working again

 

We need to find you a 409 to put in that car.

This event is gonna be epic seems as all my friends are gonna be there as much as I can’t wait I need to so I can make enough money to be able to get the hauling rig updated it runs as would drive but needs brakes and driveshafts and a/c stay tuned once you see this bad boy I will be rolling in style just like 1965

 

I don't believe there's a Glory Days event this year with the Meltdown returning...

Looking forward to it. Have been to several previous Meltdown events, and they were well run and fun to watch.
