Idk, I wasnt worried about keeping it clean, body will be engine block color, interior white. I think what Im after is a slightly used look on this one. Something that could be 60 yrs old. Not really patina but not show rod either

Another shop day underway. Brakes plumbed in, torque arm finished up, hopefully a handful of other odds and ends by the end of the day! 20241005_171623.jpg

End of the day. After chasing down 10 leaks and a lot of bleeding both of the brakes and my fingers...the car has a pedal! Going to leave the body off for a day or 2 and clean up a few other things then it goes back on and the fuel tank gets hooked up! Then wiring... next friday I pick up the front tires. The list between me and driving this thing is getting shorter and shorter!

While the body is off, I decided to tackle some of the basic bodywork that needs done sooner rather than later 20241017_160522.jpg
I fixed the bottom of the drivers side all the way back and then I fixed the wheel well. Neither is going to get blocked and worked all too much before some primer goes on but I wanted to rough things out better 20241017_160524.jpg
The progress looks good so far

Seat riser goes in tomorrow, then body gets set back on. Will attack the other side another time. Right now I need my shop back (this thing takes up a ton of room blown apart)

Home stretch....need to finish up the tank mounts, slosh the tank and install, design and make a shifter, front floors, parking brake and wire the car!

Of course after that comes bodywork, paint, finish the rad shell and make a custom insert...

You should get a license plate frame that says Oliver, and a vanity plate that says Twist!

Okay, wiring is happening! Little of this
    Screenshot_20250309_211456_Gallery.jpg
    Little of that...
    Screenshot_20250309_211443_Gallery.jpg 20250309_213820.jpg 20250309_163125.jpg 20250309_163117.jpg
Put ignition on the left, switch for headlights on the right.
    20250309_184900.jpg
As of now going to wire the switch to two relays, headlight low beams and rear running lights/license plate light. I can readdress later for high beams if I feel I need em. 1 relay for a horn if I add one... not much to it, no heater, no radio... some voltage reducers for guages I spose. Have a jeweled light in the column drop, might use that as a lights on indicator... I'll stay after it. Hardly an expert at this electrical stuff... using this cheap amazon fuse and relay panel up under the dash. Wouldnt do it this way again if I had it to do over. 20250309_211525.jpg
There's a great video on puddin creeks youtube channel that shows how to build a nice looking traditional fuse panel. I'll do that next time!
