Swade, the back end of those square Skylarks was a beautiful look. Nice car.

Not mine but as a mid teen I turned down my oldest brother's 66 GS 401 4spd car, black bucket seat interior but same paint color as that one. I thought they just looked to long, more impala than chevelle, I seen that at a local cruise and snapped the photos to share with my brother.

My brother had that one all through the 70's pretty much grew up around it. The next 2 brothers down in age also had muscle, one with a flat black 66 390 4 spd GT fairlane and the other had a white 70 cornett R/T 383 pistol grip. Those 2 had a few different cool cars through the 70's, 66 mustang 289 with pony interior, 67 cornett, gremlin X with a 401 in it, 67 ranchero, 64 impala SS convertible.
My parents even had a few cool pieces, my dad had a 57 chevy pickup with a hot 301, that engine then went into his 49 chevy panel truck. My mom had a blue 67 impala, then a nice 59 chevy pickup, big window, chromed out with a deep burgundy imron paint job, I ended up driving that in high school.
    Good times

Hopefully he can just take them out to the garage and show them a 69 Hemi Road Runner so they will understand.
