I’m finally getting around to installing the welting on my cowl and grill shell on my 32. I’m looking for some ideas on keeping the welting from fraying on the ends.
    Thanks

I've melted them with a soldering iron and I have dipped them in epoxy. Too soon to tell if the epoxy thing worked but so far, so good.

Dip the end in super glue.

On my new 32-5 window I used the heat shrink which worked great. Now all I have to do is fix the fluffy ends on my old 32-5 window. May have to buy some more welting to do that.

PVA glue. Just dab the ends stops fraying and dries invisible.

Shrink tubing first, rivets next. No glue needed! Works great!

I am liking the shrink tube idea. Use the gluey kind or like one of the professors on here suggested recently, slice a sliver of glue stick and add it to the tube prior to heating.
