Circa 1972. My brothers car getting ready to be painted by the neighbor who was a 1-armed (I kid you not) house painter. I can remember all us neighbor kids watching this get painted and breathing in the paint fumes caught by the wind....that explains a lot actually.

 

I really had to study this picture before I figured out that the guy didn't have the most epic Afro ever.

Looks like early 70s, wonder how much of that hair is left

Good for you How about the 56, I've looked at that picture a couple of times, makes me think about doing two tone blue and white paint like that on mine .

 

This 55 is really pretty, a unique front bumper guard application here too, I wonder what was done there.

The one that got away...a time capsule for sale years ago at the hamb drags and it might as well had a price tag of 1M but what a great car. I still think about it a lot. I actually kept the number and reached back out a couple of years ago and sounded like the new owner turned it into billet/dakota digital type car.

 

Would have given my left nut for that car as a 16 yr. old!!!!! my dream car back then.

 

THAT is right up there w/ the edsel from days back -never seen one
