  9. I took the doors and pieces back to my shop and finally got a chance to work on them.
I trimmed the back door skin from the 4dr to shape and used the opposite jamb section from the other door to creat a jamb section of the back corner of the cab. image19.jpeg image18.jpeg

  10. I trimmed the jamb to match the front door shape, then welded it to the "back" door.

  11. I then cut a piece of sheet metal to the arch of the door to create a return for the back of the cab to attach to. image12.jpeg

  12. I cut off the the part of the "door" above the bead and made a new section, putting a raised area in it to mimic a 29 model A pickup. folded the sides and welded it in. image9.jpeg

  13. I then did the same for the other side, welded up the old door handle holes and cleaned it all up with a little 80 grit.

  19. stopped by Charlie's to drop off the parts for test fit. put one door on and clamped the quarter to the post. I need to do a little trimming before I weld it in but it looks like it will work. image0-4.jpeg

  21. once Mark-ed out, I cut thin slices with the grinder and a thin cut off wheel. the hand made tool slipped into the groove on the face side of the hood and the chisel tool punched the louver from the back side. image3-2.jpeg image4-3.jpeg image5.jpeg
