IMG_20250410_085925.jpg @Anthony Myric and Mike @50chevytx , both fellow Lloydfest veteans, got me fired up to finish my tripower setup. I got my carbs finished yesterday. I started trying to figure a homemade linkage. Hopefully make some progress on that today.

  4. Randy, that is very cool! Hope to see it this year!

Well, I did drive it about 80 miles yesterday as I said earlier but somewhere in there it started up backfiring through the exhaust again. I still thought it was a lack of advance at higher rpms so today I cleaned and lubed the weights in the mechanical advance.

    BOOM!!!

I drove it about 20 miles a few minutes ago at various speeds including a couple of miles in the very high 70's. Not one backfire.

OK! Now it's ready to head out for Oklahoma in a few days to hit up the Stray Kat 500. Watch out Mick (@straykatkustoms). Here we come.

Spent some time tuning the WCFB's and then took it for its first 15 mile test drive, did OK, but think I'll spend next week with the Hydro trying to find 2nd gear...

Great week for it! Buy low, sell high, pays for more car parts.

It's hectic and stressful, but I'm up $2,200.00, from $2.00.

My oldest son has gotten into that. Not for me, I'll just keep selling off and scraping stuff I don't need.

  19. Trying my hand at fake rust to blend the fenders into the bed better, it'll look good at 60 mph

  23. Since I'm really not taking this paint to serious on the 57 pickup and have been experimenting with some different techniques to help blend the new paint to the old crusty paint.
Yesterday I decided to try my hand at water droplets, it didn't turn out terrible so I think I'm putting it on top of the fenders using bigger water droplets.

The first days this year when I could work in a T shirt. Started back on the Ruby.
I mounted the friction shocks and welded up the exhaust.

  29. Calling it done, fun little project experimenting with rattle cans and a paint brush.
I gave it a coat of flat clear on top to protect my water from getting wiped off by the looky Louie's lol
