I have an original Ford fuel tank with sending unit that came out of a 1940 Pickup. This should be able to be used in 1938, 1939, 1940 Ford Cars, and 1938, 1939, 1940, 1941 Ford Pickup Trucks. It was media blasted by the previous owner. The cage nuts for mounting are in good shape. There are a couple of tiny pinholes near the sending unit, but the rest of the tank is solid. I'm sure they can be welded up. This tank has been out of a vehicle so long that no gas remains. There looks to be a little bit of surface rust on the top, inside of the tank, bit the rest of it looks good. I would recommend cleaning and coating it inside.
