Hello all. I came across this group while searching for my father's car. I saw a thread and someone posted pictures of it but the discussion was now locked so just trying to see if anyone here can be of ***istance. My father's car was a 50s custom pink mercury. My family sold it after he p***ed away and we haven't seen it since and we would love to track it down and bring it back home or atleast be able to see it again as i am getting married this year and would love nothing more then to have it possibly be a part of my wedding in memory of my father and our childhoods. any info would be greatly appreciated. We are located in Sus*** County New Jersey And my fathers name was Dennie Vaughan. I have attached an image from the early 90s when we owned it and car looked the same when we sold it in early 2000s. Again i know this is a long shot but any help would be truly appreciated.
Your dad was significantly talented!! Hopefully, you carry some of his characteristics. Hope you find it.
here's an old post of old pictures of cars, and there it is...but it tells us nothing about where the car is now. https://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum...car-club-back-in-the-80s.364123/#post-3948806 and https://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum...ub-back-in-the-80s.364123/page-2#post-3948838
I've been trying contract the car down for a few years now but with getting married this October I'm more eager to find it now. I learned alot about Jack fett building it before my father locating it in a junk yard and modifying it more and putting his own twists on the car. I have yet to track down any info at all about its current location and is why I'm now taking to forums or anything I can track down on the internet as ways to hopefully find it. Thank you all!
Hello all! so browsing through the forum I came across these pictures someone posted of my father's car. These pictures my brother told me look to be from when we had it forsale which I'm hoping means it's the person that bought it from us as I can't locate then anywhere besides here. if anyone knows who posted them and can tag them into this post I'd appreciate it!
uh...if you had taken a screen shot of the page with the pictures, then we could see who posted them. As it is, pretty hard to find what you found.
I tried tracking down the post to do exactly that. unfortunately when i tried to do it like how I did when I originally found them unfortunately nothing is coming up. I know the post was locked so I'm not sure if it was deleted or the pictures were deleted.
what exactly did you do to find the pictures? Did they show up in google, or another search engine? or what?
I Used Google image search i searched with the original picture I posted and then those other 2 showed up as a result along with the picture of when jack fett owned it. when I clicked on the pictures it brought me to this forum which is how I found your page. I've tried everything to find the thread but im having no luck. finding those pictures here gave me hope and I kick myself for not taking a screen shot but I joined literally the same night with hope of finding more info and didn't even think of it
Good luck with the search! I was checking the other day arlo reviews, and I think these guys might be able to help in cases like that. Their products seem to have great security features, and a lot of people have shared positive experiences with their cameras and systems. Definitely something worth considering, at least for peace of mind. If anyone here has used Arlo, would love to hear more about your experience
