Yes that’s right , it’s coming back!! We had a ton of fun with a thread just like this years ago. We had much anticipation and poking fun. Had a blast hanging out. Racing eating and drinking together. Let’s hear it. What are you doing to get ready for the meltdown drags 2026? Saltflats powershifter ticketyboo Wrenchbender and all the rest of you crazies, you still out there??

  2. Is it still Paul Zielsdorf ( spelling) running the show or is someone else handling it.

Still here, sold the Chevelle as a roller and kept the wee little small block ;), God willing and all the stars a line, we will be there with the 56 Chevy gasser project, hope it hooks as well as the Chevelle used too

I can’t say for sure. Our chairman of NOSTALGIA GASSERS RACING ASSOCIATION has more details than I do.

I'm still hanging in there. Working on finishing up the car to make the Fallouts this year.

I’m gonna need a clutch, and probably a deeper set of gears….Most importantly, I’m gonna need to lose about 80lbs of dead weight directly behind the wheel.
Good to see y’all again, fellas!

Good to hear from you. I've wondered about a few times since the last Meltdown.

    Hey Gary!
Work and family obligations have pretty much pulled me out of circulation, and the last year has been particularly bad.
Looking forward to getting back out to see everybody though!

I wrote the date on my calendar. Does that count to getting ready?

I’m glad this is getting us back in touch. Exactly what I was hoping for. Let’s commit to keeping it going! Haven’t heard from @wrenchbender. I know he was in a bad car accident recently and got pretty messed up. I think he will be fine in time though. Thankfully

I'm still here and will be at Meltdown #10, along with the rest of Clothier Racing... Three brothers and one nephew. Larry, "Doc", (59 Impala), "Hot Rod" Bob, (57 BelAir Sport Sedan), "Torkwrench", John, (black 55) and "Fire Fighter" Chuck, (blue / white 55).
We'll also be at this year's Havana ILL's Spring Nostalgia race, "The Out-A-Sight Drags' in Union Grove Wis., "Glory Days" at Byron, and "The Fallout Drags" in Eau Claire Wis.
Additionally, Bob and I, (and perhaps Chuck), will be racing at this year's Tri Five Nationals, in Bowling Green Kentucky. I'll have to reinstall my front bumper for Tri Five Nats to run Jr. Stock.

Hi Norb. Hope to see you there with your 56. Here's a photo from the 2015 Meltdown.
