I thought I would pass this on. Two more weeks to bid, something for everyone from a local auction site. APRIL 29TH - ONLINE COLLECTIBLE CAR, CAR PART & TOOL AUCTION | Live and Online Auctions on HiBid.com
Some neat stuff, although it kinds of peters out after the first couple pages. I like the 1950s kit cars, especially the Victress with a Chrysler Hemi. There's a Mickey Thompson magnesium blower manifold for a Pontiac slant 4, I can't imagine M/T ever made more than a handful of those.
Thanks for posting this, I was unaware of this one. It's on the other side of the state from me, but not THAT far away that I couldn't get to it.
About a hour and a half sway from me. Timing is perfect if you are from the area as swap meet season is about to commence if you are a re-seller or collector. I may implement my super secret dumb but it works online auction buying system. Added bonus is that it's close to the Cady Cheese Factory and they have the best horseradish cheese I know of.
Lots of interesting items for sure. Hope the seller gets a fair price for the cool stuff. Glad it’s not close to me, I’d be forced to raise the bids too many times.
"Something for everyone!" Not quite!! Sorry they don't deliver to California! I'm sure there are a lot of rodders out here that are disappointed!!
My dad had me check that out because its near him. He bid one a bunch of stuff, but he's super cheap so Im sure he will be outbid on all of it. I like some of the crazy 4 two barrel intakes, but I don't think they would be anything but wall hangers for me. Just seems like it would be a nightmare to try to find working linkage for them. There is part of me that wants a piece of that Screaming Banshee race car. I was trying to find some information on that body but came up blank. Because its near my dad I could have him pick it up. Same with the 66 Pontiac tri power intakes, though I'm sure the carbs are cobbled junk
I tried begging. That went nowhere, obviously… Now listen—I’ve got a very particular set of skills. The kind that are highly effective for digital bloodsport. Finding people. Unraveling them. Ending peaceful lives with a few clicks and a cold grin. You may think you’re immune. You’re not. No one is. So for your own safety—for your mental health—don’t bid on the Banshee. Just walk away. Be smart. Stay alive. Hopefully, you all know me well enough to know I am joking. Sort of.
It will be interesting to see what it all brings. I am sure my pockets aren't deep enough, but I may have to take a stab at a few things.
Ryan you used the wrong tactics, , the grizzled old gray bearded goats on your site won’t respond to begging and aren’t skeeerd of anything except - braking little girls hearts. You should’ve said “ please guys don’t bid on the Banshee I would love to buy and restore for my grand daughter er I mean future grand daughter” Dan
I know it's a sign of the times but I can't stand Buyer's fees on non-vehicle stuff. !6% plus 5% sales tax? On top of Seller's fees, it's an auctioneer ripoff. or opinion may vary.
@Ryan don't forget the engine/trans, headers and exhaust for it! Probably some other bits listed too. Shame it and the rear engine T are broken up rather than in groups, but that's how auctions work.
I haven’t decided if I’m going to bid. It’s a shame that the screaming banshee is spread out all over the auction. I like the 81 vette, but I don’t like the way this auction house does business. I don’t trust them. But the reason I replied to your post is if you win something that takes a trailer, rather than renting one you can borrow my PJ with drive over fenders and a 12000 lb winch. If you want. It has chains and binders as well.
Couple days to go, everything still seems in the realm of reality. If you paid a buck a day for storage for 68 years, those cars would have close to 25,000 in storage fees- just another way to justify a cool purchase…
That is one way to look at it. The other is that as high bidder, nobody else is willing to pay that much!
I only bid on parts. No room here for any more cars. Thanks for the offer but, I have a trailer. I learned a long time ago that its a bad idea to loan out trailers as they almost always get returned damaged…..
