Hot Rods Early Edmond Headers

    On my 38 Standard coupe, which was an original "hot rod" from we believe the late 40's early 50's..it has Champion Cast Heads, I believe Fenton Headers, and my question is about Edmond Headers: I have spoken with a few knowledgeable guys about my intake:
    It is aluminum (on m 59a block)...it is Edmond, and the additional lettering, which
    appears like it was hand-applied after the word EDMOND..says "C U S T O M. I was advised that his wife apparently applied inscriptions on the headers, by hand, which
    this appears to be. It has about a 4" rise. Can anyone share any additional information
    to confirm what I've heard about them? Would appreciate it. Thanks, Old Fred

    Sorry..I mean to say "intake" not headers. (It's early in the morning here)...thanks, hope to learn more about the intake question I posted.

    The word Custom, on an Edmunds intake would have been put there by the factory.

    Not hand inscribed. It’s the same on a whole lot of Edmunds intakes and heads.
