if theres a column in there, you take it out and put in a different one... the column doesn't care what motor is..... changing out the steering box.... yes..

The wood dash doesn’t bug me all that much. I’d change the column/wheel and wheels and roll for the immediate future.

IMO the dash would probably be the least of my concerns with that one. A Model A sedan delivery would be cool, but that one's gonna take a lot of de-street rodding. I'd much rather have the C10, that's a cool truck, even if it's not HAMB friendly.

there is not a damn thing wrong with the steering column.... it's tilt and has a nice turn signal lever instead of one off a Schwin bicyle.... and nothing wrong with a 50 yr old build to era streetrod.... theres 31 flavors out there, just this site that only likes chocolate

That chrome column is aftermarket gm-based, not a GM column.

Is it really a Ed Roth dash or did someone after a night of drinking sign his signature?. Carol Shelby said about 10% of the Carol Shelby signatures were his.

  12. I used a '32 style steel dash I got from Epay. It was about $100 and fit pretty darn good. After I cut the holes, I had my painter buddy do it some good. I cut the bottom off the fuel tank, as I put a rear tank in. I put a piece of steel angle from side to side to hold the steering drop. Gene. 20241114_172857.jpg

  13. I’d hold on to the C10. Looks like a real nice truck

I am. I just wish I could list it on here for trade. I want to get back into a traditional rod or kustom. I'm burned out on C10s.

Stock Tank and made a dash panel out of a regular model a one to mimic one of those aristocrat dashes that fetch $600 plus dollars.

I like your C10 but that panel is also cool. I'd keep in mind that seems like early fords (as much as I hate to admit it) are coming down in price, whereas those trucks are fetching high dollars from younger guys with money.

    Just my $0.02.

Being a 1968, I don't think I make the cut off year. Unless that's changed?

Moved to the off topic forum. billet wheels and other modern things are off topic on the main forum. this is a traditional hot rod site focusing on 1965 and older build styles

Does this aftermarket dash attach behind the original top part of the dash or can it be used as a stand alone option?

I bought a 33-34 truck dash for my Model A and cannot find any instruments that will fit. Prefer to use existing holes as opposed to removing the center part for some sort of insert.

  25. That's a good question... I never had the original upper part. I'm not sure if you could use that along with this dash, or not. The bolt holes in this dash did line up with the threaded holes in the cowl. If any of that makes any sense. Gene.
