When I got this car it was a mess.. and the only reason I bought it was it's built on a OG 32 ford ch***is with a 32 ***le...it's a wescott body and my plan was to find a steel body that needed a frame and build a more traditional real mc coy hi boy... figured it would be easy and cheep to end up with a nice roadster... but things changed after fixing all the things wrong with the ch***is...and as time would have.... I started to like the car..one of the problems was they put too wide of a rear end, and to make that work... they put 12'' wide rims with 16'' wide mickeys on it... when I tryed to go with traditonal wheels, they stuck way out too far.... looked like socks on a rooster to me, and as another member said... I ended up with a set of brand new tire and wheels to take to the swap meet.... so... I put a set of tires wheels to fit the...so now it's the car thats.... who da fuc put those wheels on this car???is it real??? is it steel??? what the ***le say??? howed you do this and that... so as it is.... it's a very nice driving car..rides smooth, run great, every thing works and it runs cool. it's a 327 auto... so as it is... I'm happier than a girl with a new set of fake ***'s... and I don't mind showing what i got...
had to do a lot to the ch***is.. lowered and centered the rear..fixed the front spring and mount... and put the new exhaust.. the pics above show the traditional tires.. for some reason, the pics don't show how bad they really look, i think its the fish eye lense ???? any way... they stick way out there.. so now my quest was to just make it look kinda good... and drive the **** out of it,,, and after multi trips to the tire store... I ended up way OT... so fake ***s and wrong shoes...I'm all in....!!!
the pics above was my second go round... the wheels are 15x5'' and 15x 7'' still not happy... I need rims with more positive off set,... and only way to do that is go wider.... so had to go farther into the dark... the dreaded "OT" wheels... I left the front alone, was happy there...but the rear begged for OT wheels, and even though the rims are called OLD SCHOOL HOT ROD WHEELS... nobody was buy'n in...so... I got new tires and wheels...and unless you have somewhat control of your emotions... stop reading now.... the rims I got to **** the tires in farther.... the dreaded OT...17 X 9" AND AS bad as it might seem... I like them, and they fit what I want the car to look like, and hide that the car has the wrong rear end...two wrongs don't make a right...but the right tires will hide a wrong rear end..
in the pics above, you can see that I moved the lic plate up.. and added a 3rd brake light frame, also changed out the little head lights.... major process... had to move the shock mounts forward 4'' and reverse the light mount
So there you have it... is it done.... probley never, do I wish it was a henry car, hell yeah....is it worth the same as a henry foc no...but I love... fake ***s and wrong shoes I cruise it with a smile...
