Yes, I did a search, seems the most current responses were in 2019.
As most any product, they can evolve over the years.
My concern is a car that has single stage acrylic urethane paint, how well do they hide/conceal scratches, or is that just wishful thinking?
    What brand/s do you like?

I am not an expert, but I play one on television , from the research I have done (tavern talk) and the advice of my polishing guru, the finish needs to be nice before laying this stuff down. I think they hide some scratches (like pouring water on a fender hides imperfections) but it is not for the picky eye. I have not applied it. Call me old school, I am afraid to put something on my paintjobs other than polish and wax. I like a finish I know I can repair and correct. I am not sure if that coating allows it.

I marred the 41 PU's front fender last fall. A mounted tire and wheel fell off a stack of the same and dented the front fender and left some pretty deep marks. After using every curse word I knew and making up a few that my neighbor gave me high credit for (before selling her home), I called Kevin, the paintless dent guy I use. I had the headlight out so he could access the affected area, and as his ***le professes, he removed the dent in its entirety. Now it was my turn to polish the marks out. A little wet sanding and careful use of the bonnet and then the orbital and a variety of products, it is impossible to see (and I am a picky mofo). Long story short, could that have happened with a ceramic finish? I don't know. I just don't know.

I understand paint and how to fix it, so I stick with what I know. But I might be missing out on something revolutionary in the process. Looking forward to reading other responses that have used the stuff.

SPI discourages the use of ceramic coatings on their products because they do not know the long term effects.
I had a professional ceramic coating applied o my late model truck when I bought it. I’m very impressed. Paint looks very good at six years old. They warranty against small dents and scratches. I do have a couple small dents and one very small scratch, I’ll be filing a claim and will post my results afterward. Also had windshield coated and still repels rain like rain x. I’ve used Meguires ceramic wax on other late model stuff with good results, although they state not to use on windshield. You would have to remove the coating ( not sure how to do this) before body work or paint. The salesman sprayed some rustoleum on a new car treated waited for 1/2 to 1 hour and simply wiped the sprayed paint off with a micro towel.
