I have to say it. That will buff out!

  3. Considering it’s what many might call a historical sight you’re right.

  4. WOW! Wasn't there a whole ship load of cars lost to a shipwreck on one of the Great Lakes? Seems just recently (a few years ago) there were a few dozen Porsche cars lost in the Atlantic in a storm. Someone more literate than myself should write a book about all of the cars lost at sea. What a sad read that would be!!:(:(:(

Not a lot of oxygen down there to have steel preserved so well. Fixer special. Ran when parked.

Have you ever considered how many ships, subs, planes, wreckage of all sorts, lie at the bottom of the earth's oceans? Add to that all of the ships afloat and you would think our sea levels would be higher than they are. Hmmm.

  6. Lost at sea. On a 3 Hour Cruise ? One of my Dad's assignments when Island hopping in the South Pacific WW2 was after each battle on an island, was to destroy Japanese AND American equipment. WW2 contracts were, no war materials once leaving the USA were permitted to be returned. Used, New or NOS. He would take LST's loaded with new vehicles and equipment, go off shore and drive it all into the ocean. Go back for another load. Including not just jeeps and heavy trucks but also staff cars and anything that could be used again. At one time I found a couple of tunnels in the Philippines A LOT of trucks and cars were simply blasted shut in a tunnel. Never to be used again. Piles of trucks just pushed into the ocean. And that was in the past 25 years. Good old Uncle Sam's contracts. Remember we must support the war effort and protect the homeland.

That is true ^^^^. Auto makers did not want to compete with war surplus, other than items that stayed stateside.
