    1937, 1955, and 1956: best lookin' trucks Chevrolet ever made; imho. I'd love to snag a '55 or '56 for a DD pickup.

  7. These are probably standadyne stock bulk lifters. That’s what the inside looked like. This shop hasn’t had new parts show up since the mid 90s.

  11. Boring ole timing chain

    LocTite and torqued
    Installed the oil galley plug with a little red loctite and pinged em with a spring loaded center punch IMG_6046.jpeg

    and silicon bronzed a couple spots on my pick up tube/screen

  16. Well, I was raised building fords. This is my first 283. The 350 I used in my bus was assembled by students and instructor. My students and I made it look good. We do all the fab work as well So I guess this is my first sbc without supervision.
    Next time I might tap em and screw in pipe plugs. kinda didnt want to do that after I got this far
