Chevy six/ mechanical linkage to cable Q

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by Stevie G, Oct 28, 2006.

  1. Putting a 74-ish six into a 62 pickup.
Has anyone here converted theirs to cable linkage?
Any chance you remember what cable you used?
    I picked one up for a 74 C-10 and it's suprisingly short.
This thing has a Vari-Jet with the throttle cable bracket on the valve cover so it will have to snake around a bit.

Trying to avoid the universal braided stainless piece but it may come down to that.

check out a junked geo metro, pedal assembly and all,I used it in a 56 truck, the cable was long as hell, and really cheap at the local junk yard. may not be what you need but worth checking out.

  3. Hmmm!
I'll have to look into that.
