Gonna try to make it for one day. Most likely Saturday. Not taking a show car. Transmission is out of the Buick, and I need to do some carb work on the ol' '39. Look for the guy with a white/black trucker hat that says "Smokin' Meerkats"
I will be there all weekend with my ‘56 Ford pick-up. Although not open tomorrow ,I will be helping on set up. Will send a few indoor display vehicles teaser pics as some roll in .
This event is a primo deal, John and his family have used all of his experience vending around the country to stage fun and cool events. The cause is supreme and gives some families a needed boost in their rough road of a child with serious medical needs.
Day 2! I was there yesterday, talked with some HAMBer's and took in what this show has to offer. Come support a great cause and have fun at the same time. See you there!!
Our group traveled to Iowa on Friday. At one point there were 11 of us in a row, which always makes for a fun drive. I was a little laxed on taking pictures this year. Between talking with friends, taking in all the activities and spending quality time with my son, time sure passed quickly. Here's what I have for photos.
I was there all weekend. Drove my ford from IL and camped out. Had a blast. Too bad I didn’t see this thread and could have met up with others. Here is my car
Wow, what sweet rides, some excellent drag machines! The overhead conversion is mind-blowing. Annd seeing Hit Rod Jen is there is exciting, one of the planet's finest stripers and sweet persons.
Good to talk to you, I’ll be in touch on that tubing deal if they can work something out. I appreciate the help
Thanks TJ for the pics. I really want to make it to this event at least once - looks like a great time for a worthy cause. Tell your ol' man hi when you see him!
