sometimes you see something and an idea pops in your head....not to be disrespectful. or try to push my likes on others... but,.. never was a fan of the 32 RPU.... seems that nothing fits the eye well... i've seen these bodys come up for sell and they seem real slow to sell... so I seen the one pop up on the classified section here,,,, and looking at the truck... I thought... what a bitchen ride... starting from the front.... lotta a time and effort..( thats a sneek by your wife term for rat hole cash)... then there's the bed... looks way out of place to me....then while staring at it...I had a vision.... wouldn't it be too cool to put a 26/27 trunk back on this car???[IMG]
you'd have all the greatness of the 32 chassis, the room of a 32 roadster. and the total HEY-LAM (hey look at me) effect when you pulled up to cars and coffee... wonder if someone could photo shop a trunk back... in my vison it would flow nice...

Not sure what you are trying to ascertain, are you talking about the Brookville phantom’32 RPU, or the actual, as bodied by Ford Roadster Pickup?
To me the B-ville is odd and the Ford can be made to look cool, even though the original was very utilitarian, but perfectly suited to its intended purpose.
Grafting a ‘27 deck on just seems counterintuitive, kinda like the old song by The Barbarians- “Are You A Boy Or Are You A Girl?”
Oh, and the pickup in your picture is a Model A, not a Deuce.

A guy could surley argue with you on your last point the grille is 32. the chassis is 32, and everyone knows they never made a model a v/8.... I see nothing model A in the pic.... but if you wanna go by the never built by ford ,or one thaat looks like it brookville body and call it a phantom model A ... OK by me..

I like that truck the way it is. I think it would be a bit better looking with a shorter bed. Maybe 6"? Not really worth the effort at this time. It is a mix of parts.

Yes, ‘32 Commercial in the photo, the ‘33 and ‘34 grille shells have a rearward slant, as viewed from the side and they are wider, top stamping is different for the ‘33, it only has the Ford badge and a radiator cap. ‘34 has an ornament that holds the badge and it flows into the radiator cap. Only the ‘34 has a stainless trim piece that surrounds the grille bars.
