OK I'm stumped. I spotted this rolling up I-75 in south GA today. What's the year, make and model of the baby blue convertible on top?

Actually, I think it's a '58 Lincoln. "59s had oval tailights...'58s had the round ones.

Strictly speaking, wasn't the Continental a separate line from Lincoln back then? It's a little difficult to tell a hardtop from a convertible, the convertible had a rigid top that went back into the trunk in a similar manner as the Ford retractible.

  6. All that neat stuff in one load! (Even the "street rod" can be converted to look good over a weekend).

When I worked at the junkyard way back when, the boss had a 59 version of that car. It had been repainted dark blue. I got to work on a few things on it, put a new cam in the 430, fiddled with the top and hydraulic wipers, etc. They're incredible cars.

I wish I had the cars on the lower level, especially the Shelby.

Correct, for 1958 at least. I think that makes the car a 1958 Continenal Mark III. Kinda like Imperial, which was also a separate make from Chrysler.

It's hard to tell from the photo but it was a convertible GT/CS.
