Met Lee (3quarter32) from Broken Arrow: Met Kurt (okie pete): Someone remind me what this guy's name is. I see him and his car pretty much every year here but he didn't fill out the registration card in his windshield and I haven't seen him yet. Here’s Dr. Dave's car pre-pinstripes. This Merc (1950 I think) has an incredible amount of work in it. Too bad the pix didn't capture the absolutely gorgeous paint color. George Gordon (gvgordon) wagon. If you take the time to look this thing over you'll see that it drips cool. This 58 also has an incredible amount of work in it.
Awesome! Looks like a great turn out. Lots of good shows going on this weekend glad to see enough cars out to fill them all
Had a great time, met up with some fellow hambers and made some friends... and scored a couple odds and ends for my projects. Huge turnout compared to the last time I went. Lots of cool shit. I was too busy yapping and looking at stuff to remember to take too many pictures but here are some of my favorite cars from the show - the ones atch didn't already post... I spent more time looking at @BigJoeArt's little T than probably anything else there... for obvious reasons. I love the obnoxious flame job on that Merc & the mill in @winduptoy's A is sure sweet. @atch - me and Robin hung around your truck a bit and circled back a few times to try and catch you but we missed you. Didn't occur to me until we got there that I could have brought my T lol. Next year! Last but not least... @straykatkustoms -- it was great to see you & thanks for the work you put in making this happen!!!
Good to see you @atch and talk with your wife...that we had crossed paths previously.... @trevorsworth and @RMONTY were persistent and Trevor got his cooling fan....
Larry, It was our pleasure meeting and chatting with you. For the rest of you please look at the previously posted pics of this car that trevorsworth posted. He drove this banger powered "A" Vicky in from New Mexico. It turns out Sherry and Mike worked at the same construction site in Eunice NM at some point(s) from 2006 to 2009; they were building a uranium enrichment facility.
Randy Jackson (wrenchbender) was there and we talked extensively. He and Misty came in her car but I failed to get a pic of it. It's a 53 (54?) Chevy.
Alan and Kim Harper were there in their 51 Merc. We had never met before but upon seeing each other at the show we realized we had eaten lunch at adjacent tables in Pawhuska on Friday. Neither of us knew the other couple was headed to the SK-500 but we had some friendly banter at lunch.
This car belongs to Ted and Karen. I've never seen them on the hamb but I've seen them and their 35 all over the central US for many years. They have owned the car for over 40 years and have put 23x,xxx miles on it. I'm betting some of you folks have seen it also.
I should have taken a pic looking down some of the streets. It was quite impressive. I believe the final tally was 380 (+/-) cars.
The red Model A with the Caddy is Dick Krober or “Krobe”. The 58 Nomad is Jimmy & Claricia Spears and Jimmy is @gonmad here. I saw you today Mike but never wasn’t talking to people to catch up with you. Maybe tomorrow. And, thanks for posting all the pics.
Thanks man. I would have remembered Dick Krober's name in a week or two. Same for gonmad. We'll be there tomorrow, probably 'til the very end.
I took almost no pics but here are the few I did get before I spent most of the day talking to friends.
This red coupe really does it for me ! It's one of the very few cars I've looked at and wouldn't change a thing, the best part is it don't have a belly button sbc in it. This 56' was the wife's favorite, the only reason ? She liked the paint scheme. Like the metallic green heavily worked over 58 above this 52 Chevy has seen a lot of body mods too. A lot of nice cars this year, didn't find much of a swap meet unless I just happened to walk by it and at my age (mileage) it's possible!!
A couple I did catch my attention was a purple Tudor model A, he did a few mods I'm doing/done to mine, chopped top, filled top, and flush mounted doors. Would of like to caught up to him to talk about it. And look at those pipes !! This thing looks like it driven !! The next pic isn't that good but the brown coupe was awesome along with the black p.u. behind it. Just a couple pics of a wide view to get a feeling of the show...
Thanks for the photos! I really wanted to get down there this year but life got in the way. Hopefully next year!
I’ll try to get some more pics today. Oh, and I guess I was spotted since someone sent me this pic. I was trying to match @winduptoy for the day.
The Green Pontiac of the former Mercifuls CC member is always nice to see, but the Riviera. was very nice. Thank you for taking the time to post.
