Mopar or No Car

  1. IMG_0868.jpeg My 69 Charger I think I got in 78/79? It was a 383 Magnum car. Four speed, console, power everything, upgraded dash and am/fm radio. I think it even had leather. Guy I bought it from said it was some sort of specially ordered car by some exec. But who knows, people say all sorts of shit when they are trying to sell a car. It was a really nice, not super fast but it sounded good when we were cruising Colby lol. I can’t remember why I sold it. I think maybe I needed money because I was getting married? Should have kept the car instead. Picked up a nice 66 Sport Satellite with some of the money. Another 383 car, auto, buckets and console. I have no pictures of that one.

No, it's mini-tubbed. It will have an original look though.

Nice, I love the mini-tubbed look. Keep the pics rolling as it progresses.

I sold one like that to a fellow out west - IIRC it was in the early 2000s. The new owner was apparently a rancher/cowboy? It was converted to a console 4-speed. The body had a rough restoration done before I got it. I did the best I could with that, but it ran like a scalded dog.

Did it have a big scratch (gouge) on the right rear? I sold mine in 97, I needed the money.

Mine did. The bum bodywork was also on that side. A quarter skin was installed and it looked like someone had gone down the top edge with a ball pein hammer. It came out of Wisconsin.

I got excited for a second. Thought I might have had a lead on my old car. :( But both of my quarters were original. Just with a 12” scrape down to red oxide primer. I sold mine to a guy in Laporte Indiana. RS23UOG 111 don’t remember the rest. Built August of 69.
