Atch, great catching up with you Saturday and thanks for snapping a pic of the old wagon. She ran like a champ all weekend. It's a cruiser.
Pleasure was mine, George. Great to have the opportunity to chat for a while. I'd like to say we should get together before 2025 SK-500 but in reality I know it just ain't gonna happen. See ya then.
Man I was beginning to think they’d outlawed shade in that town until some later photos! looks like you all had a good time
Tim and Kelli Powell from Wann , OK own this one . atch thank you for stopping by and saying hello it was nice to meet You.
Here's some shots from my weekend (full road trip post forthcoming on my T thread ) Larry's vicky (@winduptoy ) another young guy had this neat little chevy custom. got to see @Dan Hay And drooled all over this little pickup. It was a good time, and I had a lot of fun chatting with many people I don't get to see enough. .
Great pics guys! Good to see you all. What a great weekend! I'm always having fun....except when I'm doing yard work. LOL But, yes, super happy about how the striping came out. I used to just hand everything to Ron Myers and say "do your thing," but since he's no longer with us, I've been without an on call striper. LOL Josh did a great job and right now this very second I realize I never asked him for his number so I could have him on speed dial!
For anyone that has never been to this…I describe it as a family reunion that folks bring cars to. The atmosphere of this show is like no other that I have ever been to. Just look at the awards pics with Mick giving hugs. When else does that happen? Oh, and hanging out at the hotels in the evenings with friends is a must as well.
Looks like a GREAT time..... That lil truck with the Blown Nailhead...just badass!!!! But that white 59 chevy hardtop pulls at my 59-60 heartstrings!!!!!
That 61 Impala flat top is only the second or third one I’ve ever seen. I’m guessing a Bel Air hardtop was probably very close in price in 61.
Thanks @atch for driving all that way to hang out with a bunch of Kats. Your Panel is looking too kool and it encourages others to keep the faith. Maybe next year we need to organize a HAMB pic..... Hope to run into you later this year..
Thanks Mick (@straykatkustoms) It means a lot to me that you took the time to mention me in a post. And many thanks to you and all the 'kats who put in a lot of work to make the SK-500 the best show around. Like Jeff said, it's really a family reunion where folks just happen to drive cool hot rods and kustoms to get there. We're registered for next year again so if not before I'll see ya then.
