Hi there I'm Kev ("Cruzn'Kev") from Germany. I read a lot of great stuff here and thats why I joined a while back but never posted much here..
So this is my 1950 Chevy Styleline with a 383 V8/th700, Mustang II, Ford 9" and some other goodie stuff..
Still recreating it my way of style - chopping the top 3" or 3.5" is on the "to-do" list...

Pictures of it when I bought it.

Now I already changed few things but not too much. Next thing is wrapping the front bumper with some chrome wrapping - because shipping from the US is too pricey for now o_O For the rear I'll try to make fit 55 Chevy bumper.
Also want to get it lowered in the back and laaater on a 3" chop.

Nice ride. The mII front is the best option for cobblestone roads. What rear end is under it? And while I’m asking questions, where about are you in Germany?

That’s just a killer car. Should be Autobahn ready with that drive train. Welcome. Keep us posted about the changes.

Thank you! She's running a Ford 9" rear end. I'm in south Germany, in "Aalen".

Thank you! Yeah Autobahn is fun but love more the backroads. Autobahn is crazy speedy traffic with all those insane Audis, Porsches and whatever other these plastics things :D

That is a beautiful part of the country. Long time ago I was stationed in Echterdingen and somewhat regularly flew out east of Schwabisch Gemund to Oberkochen. Occasionally I'd drive out on the weekends just to enjoy the countryside. We got to fly all over and see some amazing sights. Hopefully someday I'll get to go back and see how much everything has or hasn't changed.

We might have met long ago if you ever ran out to check out the army helicopter when it landed. I loved playing the "wie heist das" spiele mit die kinder. Landing was like parking a million-dollar jungle gym in their back yard. And it gave me a chance to learn German. I left Germany in December of 86. Maybe someday I'll get back there again and we can meet for sure.

Servus from Austria! Old trains and old cars go well together. I hear you on idiotic Autobahn drivers. We don't have unlimited speed but believe me, nobody drives at the Austrian national 130 Km/H speed limit nowadays lol. Got a 5sp box so my engine does not rev at stratospheric RPM at that speed but I still have drum brakes so I can't "fall asleep" on the Autobahn

So yes, the back-roads are preferred:)

    130KM/H that’s like 35 mph in the US? :D

Not much different than US interstates as 130 KPH is 80 MPH

as **** noted, it's 80 MPH but most drive between 85-90, but the German Autobahn is as you know is unlimited in many spots with people doing 100 and northwards. Not a fun place if your old car has the wrong gearing and feeble drum brakes.

    Great looking car!

Certainly jealous of the power plant and the immaculate black paint work!!!!!! (The Rolling Stones knew the score:cool:)

Looking forward to seeing how you get on with the 55 rear bumper, as I have a 56 bumper I will be making fit the rear of my 51 soon.

Very nice shoebox Chevy, there´s nothing wrong with it other than it´s yours and not mine, hahaha
The paint looks a mile deep!
