After 5 long years......the '54 is finished! I did everything except for final paint and interior. It's a pleasure to drive! Here's my build thread.......https://www.hotrodders.com/threads/1954-ford-customline-build-thread.545181/#replies My $1800 purchase in Feb 2020. Here it is today.
Man O Man... ``Super cali fragilistic That is a sweet ride. Happened that, I took my first driving test in a green '53
Congratulations! Perseverance and tenacity pays off, and with that green, you won't have any trouble finding it!
Beautiful ! Love the colours and matching interior. You have to be pleased and proud of what you’ve accomplished.
Nicely done, was the chrome on the bumpers etc that nice or did you have it redone. It looks like brand new!!
Looks great and the reason that some of you can't get the build thread to work is that you aren't in that social group...the 52-59 Ford group. He does a great job of documenting the build, but you just have to trust me on it.
MY BAD! Here's the build thread copied to another website........... https://www.hotrodders.com/threads/1954-ford-customline-build-thread.545181/#replies
[QUOTE="evintho, post: [/QUOTE] Wow! That is awesome. But you better delete it before this gets moved to Off Topic
It's already over there. There's a couple of things on the car that don't fit into the guidelines and I've been reprimanded before but, 98% of the car is within HAMB rules. Therefore, I tend not to post those illegal pics. But you asked, so I took a shot! Please mods.....let this one slide!
Don't know if my '54 Ranch Wagon will ever be as nice as but your ride is definitely motivation. And FWIW to re chrome everything on my wagon including the pot metal was $2900.00 about a year or so ago. This is what it looked like before the new body guy took over after it was recused from body shop hell.
