I had to work yesterday so I only got to spend about an hour at the Charloot show. Friday was a complete washout, but Saturday was bright and sunny. Here are a few pics. The latest from MetalMaster Dennis Frings. This guy does great work. Rich Oakley had his sedan out
Hi Seadog, I live in Matthews, about 15 miles from the speedway. My wife and I spent about three hours at the show yesterday. The two five window coupes "as found"were both neat, although the blue 32 looked to need virtually every patch panel available. With that in mind, the asking price of $20k was possibly on the high side, but it is afterall a '32 .I had never seen a big block Ford that you could still view half the valve train on one bank with the (rusted out)valve covers installed untill I had seen that car.A fellow on pit road, who was from Lexington,SC had a dark green roadster with a split windshield and beige interior which stopped me dead in my tracks..it was Gorgeous ! I thought that a lot of the cars and parts that were for sale were priced very reasonable. I used to sell Dennis Frings Mazda RX-7 parts when I was heavily into them (still have a bunch of parts for those cars).Haven't seen him in years.
