    Marty, This is a 1933 Austin Ruby widened 4" and lengthened 6" from the cowl forward. I narrowed an 8" rear end and a Speedway dropped Ford straight axle with a '40 split wishbone for the front. Power is a 215 Buick with a T5 transmission.
    This is a shot where one of our Nevada Zephyrs sucked the shell off the body dolly and flipped it but luckily only minimal damage to the rear fender.

    Holy crap I hope they throw the book at that butt head my wife and I are bikers and hope that never happens we've ridden a lot of miles together but when she would go out at 5:30 in the morning before work it always made me nervous especially now with idiots on the phone. We lost a co worker who was driving home 3 weeks ago and a drunk crossed the lane and hit him head on he died instantly. The drunk lived and couldn't be even stand up at the seen WTAF ! I hope he rots in jail .oh and Mario died on his 48th birthday going to go to dinner with his 3 sisters. Thank God you're still here!

    I may be in rough shape right now, but I am absolutely blessed to still be alive.

    My guardian angel deserves hazard-pay.

    My friends used to make fun of me for buying expensive hard shell helmets.

    ...used to.

  7. Years ago when my stepdaughter started riding behind her (then) boyfriend she was using a piece-of-crap helmet that her dad had. Uh uh, says I. I took her shopping to get a REAL helmet that was certified and fit properly, and when she saw the price she commented about how expensive it was. My simple reply was "If you've got a $50 head put it in a $50 helmet. Otherwise get the best helmet you can afford!"

  14. The owner is putting miles on it and working out a few small bugs. Probably take another video when things are 100% dialed in.I warned him about a .660 lift cam and power brakes. I'll let him install the vacuum canister now ! :D

    This is what I am currently working on. It's called the Krystal Coupe because it was owned by the Krystal Fast Food Restaurant Chain. They purchased the car in 1982 for the company's 50th anniversary. I have a publication of the two owners sitting in the car, with the Krystal license plate (which I have) on the door.

    The build plans are as follows:
    * Original Henry 32 Frame
    * 276 ci Flathead with Supercharger & Dual Stromberg 48's.
    * 39 Lincoln Zephyr Transmission with later LZ Gears.
    * 36 Rear Differential with Quickchange Center Section (from Quick Change Mike in Oregon)
    * 7.60-16 Firestones out back with 6.00-16 Firestones up front.
    * 35 Wires with Lyon Caps
    * 32 Spindles Adapted to Repro 39 Lincoln Brakes
    * Dropped 32 Heavy Axle
    * Unsplit Bones
    * Goliath Shocks
    * No Fenders / No Hood

    My plan, as ambitious as it may seem, is to have it on the road by late September in time for Old North State Invitational, then TROG, then The Gathering at The ROC. We'll see how it goes!!

    Have a planned trip to town tomorrow to take another swing of the axe on the 62 Biscayne project. May get lucky and get the transmission and shifter in.

  24. Eating high on the hog - literally. I saw a '62 Impala 409 driving through Belton yesterday and thought of you. Belton Cruise Night on the 24th so I'll look to see if it's parked on Main Street then and forward a pic if I see it.

    A traditional hot rod show is coming back to Latimore Pa. It was the Jalopy Showdown. Probably the most fun you could have with your clothes on…..some didn’t !!! Now, it’s the Hot Rod reunion. Since the only running car that I own is my Caddy, I actually cleaned it up. Washed it….3rd time in 11 years, waxed it ( paste wax, no sissy shit ) and even cleaned the interior. With 45802 miles showing, it cleans up well…..NOTE: paint is factory lacquer

    lot of work for an old guy o_O IMG_3003.jpeg IMG_3004.jpeg

    Mocking up the drive. Excuse the temporary hardware.

    I still need to put the pulleys in the lathe and take off an inch. There really is only room for a 2-inch belt, and that's on the way.

    I will need to spend some quality time in the hose aisle. The current upper hose would just touch the blower belt.

    It's a slow go, given my current condition.
