I found this in a box lot that I purchased. Is it automotive? Thanks in advance

 

Deck lid handle?

 

Chances are, its automotive related, it certainly does look like it is, but not so fast, consider that this is possibly from the 50's, and if you do a quick search for oven door handles from the 50's, you can get something like this that has some very similar features!

i'm going with oven door as it doesn't have studs mounted to it

 

It is a thing you put on your swap meet table for $10 and eventually somebody will give you $5.
