66 Buick 401 with SP Turbo 400 that I took out of a running car several years ago and put in my dry basement. Sorry for the bad pic quality, this is tucked in the back, and hard to get to. Plans changed, so it's for sale now. It's on a very heavy duty stand that could be used as a run stand if desired. I'll sell the stand with it for another $200. Bring cash, a better engine hoist than mine, your truck, and a few of your buddies, preferably the strong able bodied ones to help load it. With my back, I'll supervise you guys, but not be much help.
This came out of a rusty 4 door Wildcat that a big Buick guy named Bob Miller had in his yard northeast of Knoxville years ago. The car looked rough, and I asked Bob if it'd make the 40 mile trip to my house. He almost acted insulted ( not really, he was just about the nicest guy I ever met in the car world). So I bought it, pretended I didn't notice the bald, cord showing yard tires, cinched up the lap belt, and raced for home. Stopped for a load of premium gas on the way home, and pulled away, at every light, from my buddy driving my Caprice cop car that was my daily driver. Made a believer in nailheads out of him that day. Started the car in the driveway a few times to keep everything running, then the critters ate some of the wiring, so I pulled it out, cut the front crossmember out to make part of my engine stand, and rolled it into the basement. It's been waiting on somebody faster than me to breathe new life into it since.
Decided to sell all my nailhead stuff, and concentrate on my Y-blocks. There's another 401, less complete, condition unknown, but also has a Switchpitch Turbo 400. Also an Edelbrock B58 6X2 polished intake in great condition. Rear sump oil pan included, plus an extra timing cover ( they can rot out sometimes), plus early 60s exhaust manifolds that allow more clearance around your steering box. More new nailhead stuff that I'll have to dig out of boxes in storage. Look at the first ad for more details. Need to sell this all together, and make room in the basement. The 6x2 intake is mounted to a piece of plywood, the guy I bought it from said that it was used to set up 6x2 linkages that he, or someone built and sold. Looks great. NEW PRICE FOR EVERYTHING.......$2300.
