Hot Rods 1934 ford grill guard?

    Dad seen this photo on facebook of what I ***ume to be an early aftermarket grill guard. He’s interested in finding one. Any one have one or a proper name to be able to better ***ist in finding one?

    Interesting. I'd like to see the back of it (mounting). I can't say it does anything aesthetically for the front of the car but it may catch a roll back so the grille doesn't.

    my first thought was it was made from a cultivator tine or a spring harrow tooth. I google pictures but have not found it yet. I know I have seen that part before....

    That extra bolt hole is strong evidence that it was originally intended for something else, but who knows what?

    Has me seeing modified running board or fender braces??? But I hear ya. I even see it as a pull handle from something back in the day.

    It looks like it has a strip of steel on the back so it clamps to the bumper,no actual hole in the face bar.I like it on there,have never seen one like that before,would be easy to make one.It may have been a universal type accesory that you could buy back then.
