I would just highlight all the text in the Word doc (ctrl c), copy it, and paste it (ctrl v)in the for sale thread.
Are you writing your own Word Document or working from someone else's existing copy? Either way, guthriesmith's method is the quickest and easiest. If you are writing your own copy you might try first doing it in Windows Notepad. It's a simple text editor and only allows for basic editing but is sufficient for posting in forums like the HAMB. When you open Notepad, click on Format in the tool bar and make sure there's a check mark next to "Word Wrap". You can also change the font style and size to what works best for you. From there it's then a simple matter of "Copy & Paste" as described above.
Hello, I wanted to post an old car item in the for sale section. So, I practiced using my trusty Word Document. My wife and I are downsizing more, although we have room in our garage attic. It is just that if we haven't used it in several years, then, we donate it to the local thrift store or charity endeavor that is willing to come and pick it up. The information on my practice for sale ad was the old flathead 1940 Ford Sedan Delivery I advertised and sold prior to going off to college in Northern California. This was a long time ago… but, that sad moment still reverberates in my fuzzy brain waves at times. Why did I not just drive it up there? YRMV No word document back then and so, I printed in my best ink by hand, to show almost the same information on typewriter paper. Jnaki Normally, most of the stuff is able to go to the thrift store receiving in the back of the station wagon. But, several times, we had to call a another thrift store that was willing to come and pick the large item and take it away. 1. type it on a Word Document and copy the whole ad including the photo. 2. paste it on the HAMB ad place and when the photo gets pasted you are in business. 3. click on the blue CREATE THREAD and it automatically will create an ad for you.
