    Hi folks,

I was at a swap meet this weekend in Ontario, Canada and picked up this steering wheel. I had no idea what it was off of, neither did the owner, neither did anyone walking around. so why not, it looked cool. after some digging it appears to be off a 1955 Hudson Italia. The shaft input is splined and keyed and its definitely original (whatever it is). I was hoping someone could provide some insight? From what i could find, they only ever made about 22 of these cars so finding one seems a little crazy to me. Maybe they came on other Hudson that i couldnt find pictures of? I posted this on "whats it worth" but more interested in what it is.

    thanks,
    -Steve

Also used in the more compact Hudson Jet.

So not ultra-rare, but still a very cool steering wheel, I probably would have bought that too if the price was right.

ok this seems more reasonable than a 22 production car model!

Definitely. Looks like they used the gauge cluster out of the Jet as well, probably some other stuff that'd be hard to make for a super limited car. Still a neat steering wheel though, great wall hanger if nothing else.
