History Can anyone identify these estate sale Kustoms? (Greene NY)

Discussion in 'Traditional Customs' started by Robert J. Palmer, May 23, 2025.

  1. Does anyone in H.A.M.B. land recognize cars? I already sent a message to Mark @Moriarity and doesn't know them.

They came up on F****book Market Place in an estate sale (already over) in Greene NY, about 75 miles west of me.

The period correct/traditional hot rod custom scene here in upstate NY is very small, I have never seen either of them before, and they do not appear to be cars that were built locally.

I am not sure what the asking price was I get a "message has expired" when I click on the link I sent to a friend of mine, but the listed price was but the pair was a screaming deal!

I am thinking the Merc is an old build with the Lincoln quad headlights and the 55 DeSoto grill
It's a pretty radical Kustom, but it still has door handles. Which may help I.D. it

  2. I posted these on a Radical Kustoms Facebook,

According to Anthony White They were owned (built?) by Ralph DeCosmo who was from New Egypt NJ when he was active in the 80's with "The Mouse" 54 Ford. The merc was not finished. It is what it is.

He also posted this photo of the 54 Ford-

I hope they found loving new homes, both of them are very worthy of revival.
