Technical 63 A Body buick lesabre.

Has anyone replaced the starter motor on a 63 A body buick? I cant get the starter to drop out and keeps getting hung up on the steering linkage. Do i need to disconnect the linkage to remove the starter or is there a better way?

If the steering linkage is in the way dis-assemble it to where you can get the starter out. Replace it and re-connect the steering linkage.

 

Someone suggested turning the wheels, which i did, and it dropped right out.
