I had to ship a cl***ic truck from Oregon up to Alberta a couple years ago, and it was surprisingly tricky to find someone willing to do reliable cross-border transport. A lot of the smaller local shippers just don’t want to deal with customs or the extra paperwork. I ended up going with a company that specialized in shipments to Canada, and they handled all the border stuff, so I didn’t have to worry about permits or anything like that. You might want to take a look here: https://www.a1autotransport.com/ship-car-to-canada/. They helped me out with the customs side and had enclosed shipping, which made me feel better about the condition of the vehicle when it arrived.
As far as I know NONE of the Quality Transporters in the Hamb O Dex Section (BenD, David Robert Phelps, Gearhead78 or Myself) cross the border. I have always brought the customers vehicle to the closest exit, city or rest area on the U.S. site & the customer met me there. Two weeks ago I met a customer from B.C. in Bellingham, Wa with a car from California. Please keep in mind that the Canadian Gov't has imposed a 25% tariff on ALL collector vehicles from the U.S.. The customer informed me of this after he got home with the car. God Bless Bill https://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum...ar-transport-hauling-open-or-enclosed.614419/
