Got the new hot rod in the mail today. Great issue, lots of home built cars and tech articles. Here’s some of the on topic content

Got mine a few days ago, now I don't have to read it; except for the posted upside-down pics. Lol.

    It’s like the hamber issue!

David runs/ is high up in the American hot rod foundation I see him post here and it’s his voice you hear in the pod cast.

Mike is also here and is “this old hotrod” on you tube.

I feel like Kayleigh or at least some of her friends/ family were posting the build of that car.

Have to see if it’s on the shelf at the grocery store this week, it’s been hit and miss now that’s switched formats

Of course the first issue after I cancelled my subscription has cars that I'm interested in...

Glad to hear it. The local 'everything' stores have 50 lifestyle mags, 10 Time Remembers mags, 10 firestick mags, and only a couple car mags. I'll keep an eye out.
The two bigger chain bookstores drove out all the local current book and mag places, then closed down.

Cool great to see some old school Hotrodding in Hot Rod. I will have to go buy a copy as my subscription lapsed 25 years ago

The internet had a pretty big role in that too. Maybe the biggest role. Also, eh "publishers" did a pretty **** job adapting to the new way the customers want to access the articles. I think there is still a market if they can figure out how to produce something people want and make enough money to keep the ship afloat. Digital access is the main point, but print is something plenty of people want still. Gotta find a balance between print/digital/cost to produce and leave enough to pay all the bills and make a profit.

    Mine finally showed up today.
We still have one small private owned book store 25 miles away but they don't have a magazine rack of any kind and are well managed as far as not loading up on a lot of books that don't move that they end up discounting.

I'd say that both the big book stores that went out of business within 70 miles of me failed because the company loaded them up with so many books that didn't sell well at full price and ended up on the 99 cent stack.

Not interested in anything beyond 1948. I know, I'll not find any magazine with anything related to hot rods/street rods. Unless it is the AMBR, or Goodguys street rod of the year, or the Riddler award. Thanks for letting me vent. Bring back "Tex Smith's Hot Rod Mechanics".

I think they need to hire a proofreader.
Other than that, it looks pretty good.
