Technical Flasher /Buzzer?

I have a flasher in my '26 T coupe that beeps when the turn signal is on. A buddy of mine saw, and heard, it when riding with me. He has the same problem I had. Couldn't see his indicator lights in the daylight. Which, in my case, resulted in driving down the road with the turn signal on. I can't for the life of me remember where I got the buzzer/flasher in my car.
We have both been searching for a buzzer, beeper, etc,/flasher with no results. Does anybody have a lead on a buzzer/flasher? This for a 2-prong flasher.
There is a buzzer flasher advertised on Amazon and ebay. He tried one. Flash but no beep.
I'm also wondering about the possibility of wiring a separate 12V buzzer up to the 2 prong flasher. Would this be possible?

  3. The one Bandit Billy shows is good, but in case your flasher can is mounted where it can't be heard, you can use any 9-12vdc buzzer from an electronic supply place (Does Radio Shack still exist?). You will need 2 diodes as well (P/N 1N4001) , I can show you the wiring details (easy).

Years ago I put one in my wife's car that played the first bars of "I'm in the mood for love". The first time she used the turn signal she nearly crashed.

  5. I don't know what the problem is..... I've been known to drive for miles with my turn signal on, and it's never been an issue. (LOL)

Refine your search for motorcycle flashers with audible warning. I bought these for my dune buggy because the signals don't self-cancel. The only issue I can see is they are made to flash 4 bulbs. Some have more lights than that and I have no idea if they will work with LED bulbs. But for 10 bucks, worth the effort.

You are going to run out of Blinker Juice! Its a wonder it hasn't happened already!:D

We used to run with a car club that communicated with each other while on a cruise by CB radio. A lot of times we would gather a group (usually 10 -15 cars) to meet up someplace, and cruise as a group to a car show together. We would do that on both on Saturdays and Sundays nearly every weekend through the summer months.

When ever someone still had a turn signal on after a turn, over the CB, the driver's name was called out, telling them "You are going to run out of blinker juice!" Everyone knew that was intended to tell you to turn off your turn signal, if your name was called out.

No one ever ran out of blinker juice... The originator of that told us it was almost as hard refilling the little can with blinker juice as it was to put the smoke back into electrical wires.:D

The one I put in my truck is really loud, but effective. It is round just like the original, got it off amazon I believe.

Buy a tiny speaker and wire it to the terminals of your flasher. Hide the speaker under your dash.

My daily 4x4 puts a polite little message on the dash that reads "you left your turn signal on again dumbass".

This is my first attempt at drawing on the 'puter, but you'll get the idea. Diodes not required on this, just buy a buzzer to suit. If the buzzer is too loud (and they are), put some tape over the holes.

Driving in the left hand lane going 45 MPH with your blinker on is traditional for anyone over 65. :p

Hey, thanks! So basically, of the 2 wires on the buzzer, red goes to one prong on the flasher, and the black goes to the other prong. Easy enough. Thanks again.

Chevs of the 40’s / Streetrod Headquarters sells them, but they have been out of stock since I bought the last one over a year ago.

One of the members, (slightly younger member, at that) of our car club claims he drove the whole length of Iowa on I-80 with his left turn signal on!

I have one of the flasher / buzzer combos. Works great, but I hate it with a passion! The pitch of the sound is unpleasant. As a result I use it only when absolutely necessary and for as short a time as possible. No chance whatsoever of me leaving it on! I guess is promotes good driving practice!

^^^^^ “Sounds” like a trade is in order.

  22. One of mine is annoyingly loud and the pitch grates my nerves, but that was the whole point. I quietened it down (with tape over the vents) and kept leaving it on. That's what you get when you are deaf in one ear and have the radio up loud.

Not sure becoming a BMW driver is considered "good driving practice".
