Broken Magnesium Halibrand 201 quick change

A friend has an original magnesium Halibrand 201 quick change center with an early Culver City cover aluminum cover. No axles or bells. The quick change is disassembled and is cracked at the pinion support. He also has a bucket full of gears for it. I'd like to make an offer on it but, I don't know what it's worth. Keep in mind it would also need to be repaired and converted to open drive shaft.
