    I sure enjoyed the crank out windshield in my old 39. It was the epitome of pleasant ventilation. Yeah it leaked a little but if it was going to rain it stayed home anyway. Sometimes I think I prefer a 39 Deluxe to a 40, but then other times not... they're both great designs.
