Windshield

looking for details to replace front gl*** and gaskets. 1946 chev truck

 

found this post, starting to put together my windshield for my 41 chev PU. Anyone know what the best tool to use to install the outer one piece seal into the outer frame? Plastic putty knife perhaps? Can it be removed without damage? Like to mock it up before installing the gl***. Thanks
