Technical 63 nova lower control arm install help

    @Johnny Gee I got the new bushings with spacers built in. Installed and car drives o.k. Time to get it aligned.
    No more wobble in wheels. Thanks for the help.

    Too late to the party but one trick I used when replacing ball joints or lower control arms in those and the little Fords with similar suspension was set a 2x4 on what serves as a frame to catch the upper control arm and relieve pressure on the ball joints and control arms. It makes working on them a lot easier.

    I used my jack stand under the upper a arm. I had it on my lift. lowered the lift till it raised it up.

    I did some sketchy things when I was doing front end work for a living but if OSHS had caught me doing that my ass would have been in the frying pan big time. That is a hell of a good way to get injured.

    These parts appear very similar to what Corvairs used--- very similar "special" washers and camber adjustment bolts. Check out Clark's Corvairs ( www.clarkscorvairs.com ) I would not be surprised if GM used the strut rod bushings and other pieces for both Chevy II and Corvair.
