Dennis Carpenter and CW Moss both top level early ford parts outfits show 35/48 Car.
CW Moss shows a different cylinder for 32-34. Making me believe that the ones that show 32/35 are not correct. Screenshot (1713).png Screenshot (1710).png Screenshot (1714).png

While I'm no expert on this; my '35 has the shorter lock cylinder.

The later cylinder is longer and sticks out of the column drop a little.

I'd hunt down an NOS cylinder; both for quality & fit.

Is it possible your cylinder could be repaired; may check with 32phil or one of the other lock guys on the Ford Barn.

They will probably not be in stock for a very very long time if ever. I do have one I was going to use, but I'm probably never going to use it.

Not the best picture; but you can see the tapered outer end of the lock cylinder in my '35 (thinking back the column may have been out of a '36).

The picture the OP posted shows a later lock cylinder that is flat and protrudes from the column drop.

Like I said I'm not an expert on this application; possibly Sheldon @Deuce Lover can lend some information on the subject.

I've come across a couple of repop cylinders that no longer work due to excessive wear on the offset "disc" that moves the lock bar. Appears to be softer metal than original cylinders.

  9. You sure you have what he needs, that one shows it fits 36-48.

Hi, What the OP needs depends on if it has to be an original. The FK ,FJ code cylinders commonly seen on Ebay are for the deeper column drop receiver hole. In 36 Ford changed to a different style face lock cyl . 32 Phil on FordBarn probably has what he needs. Just PM me and I will respond with Phil's contact info. In looking again at the OP's pics he might need the shorter one like Rich B.In that case id should be a FB,FC code.Phil has those originals also.Sheldon
Here are pics. The first is a 32-34 and the second is a 35,3rd pic is the face 36-37 and 4th the barrel of the of a 36-37.
On the 32-34 and the 35,look closely at the groove of the snap ring to the back edge of cyl and you will see the difference. Its thicker on the '35.
