Hello everyone. We're needing help with getting wide white walls applied to a set of performance tires for a high horsepower customer build. Unfortunately the usual suspects- Diamondback, Coker, or Calli Tire can't help us with this application. Does anyone know of anyone that can vulcanize WWWs onto a set of customer supplied tires? Thanks for any info.
If none of those guys can help, maybe move this to the off topic board and tell us what size your looking for.
Years ago I heard there was a place in K.C. and possibly one in Springfield MO. that did it. Heard they did a fantastic job and very reasonable. Don't know if either is still around... ...
I am a huge fan of good old Port a Walls. If you know what you are doing no one can tell the difference..... I am (81) and have used them for years.
Portawalls aren't going to last 2 seconds on a high performance vehicle, firstly I ***ume the tyres are radials, which means the Portawalls struggle to conform to the sidewall shape once under any sort of load. Secondly, the wheel speed ***ociated with a 'high performance' vehicle will just fling those ****ers to pieces and that's if the part in the bead doesn't pull out first.
Good point.... I guess I missed the High Performance part of his post. This getting old (81) ain't fun. You may chuckle at this too, but you can buy quality tire paint also..... I did this a while back on this build...
