Folks, I have posted info regarding this project in a couple places, it seems this is the right area of the forum to ask these questions. Working on this '37 Plymouth truck with a 70's or so Olds 98 steering column. I am inside the column to replace the turn signal switch, but I don't know what this is (see picture with arrow). Interested to see if someone on this forum knows...? Thank you.

Contacts for key buzzer. Don’t worry much about them.

    I miss Carson.
My Olds is a rag top. I never lock a rag top. Nothing in there to steal other than old 8 tracks. It's why I still have a convertible top after 28 years. Lock the car and they'll slice it to find out there is nothing in there worth stealing.

    Guys,
I posted previously some questions about the '37 Plymouth Hot Rod truck with the, probably, Olds 98 steering column. I needs a turn signal switch for it, but I bought a new one from Autozone and it wasn't correct. The column is telescoping and tilt. The turn signal switch I received looks similar, but the one from the column has this raised area (maybe a pedestal or "stalk") on it to mount the turn signal lever, which has a threaded end and screws in. The new one has more traditional GM type where the signal lever sets in place then a small screw holds it. See pictures. Anyone know where I might be able to get one of these? (2nd picture shows a comparison to one I got from Autozone).

  10. It looks like you can remove the small metal disc/plug in the new one, and transfer over that extension and lever to that spot. Just by picture observation; no experience with this one. Or, maybe that disc gets threaded for the extension?

First time seeing that extension off the backside like that. No idea if swapping it over to the new unit is possible. That said, try these guys out to see if they have a direct replacement. https://www.fusickautomotiveproducts.com/

Algoma56, I thought that too....but, in person, it looks as if its bonded in some way and like I might ruin the new one trying to make that work...

Jokester, I can check out that website, but did you happen to see one there?

Odd site address. It’s link to RockAuto. All the unit’s listed are non tilt/non telescopic.

Easiest way to source is using Corvette as a search. Current GM #1893584.

This is what a 68-76 Vette tilt/tele switch looks like. $99 on line

Fellas, thank you all much. I'm not sure if the Corvette one is the same but look like it. I ordered one from She-Marr (this one https://shee-mar.com/?page_id=705). It's the SM206. It looks very similar t o the one that was in the car; its a little different but figure they change a few things over 30 years (or more).
